These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of UK Gold Prospector (the "Service"), available at ukgoldprospector.co.uk and via our Android app. By creating an account, making a purchase, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
UK Gold Prospector ("we", "our", or "us") is a UK-based digital service providing a map of recorded gold occurrences across the UK, together with prospecting tools, guides and related products. You can reach us any time at support@ukgoldprospector.co.uk.
UK Gold Prospector is a digital product used in your web browser — there is no separate app-store download required to use the map (an optional Android app is also available). When you buy, you get instant access through the account you sign in with. We offer:
Exact features and prices are shown on the site at the time of purchase, and may change from time to time. Changes never affect access you have already paid for.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any applicable taxes. By paying, you confirm you are authorised to use the payment method.
You are responsible for keeping your account details secure and for activity under your account. Your membership is for your personal use — please don’t share your login so others can access paid content without paying. One account per person.
Access to digital products is granted straight away once your payment is confirmed, on the account you paid with. If you sign in with the same email you used at checkout, your paid features will be unlocked.
Can’t find or access what you paid for? This is almost always a quick fix (usually signing in with a different email than the one used at checkout). Email support@ukgoldprospector.co.uk with the name or email on your payment and we’ll get you sorted fast. Physical products are dispatched within the timeframe stated on the relevant product page.

You agree not to: copy, scrape, resell or redistribute our map data or content; attempt to access paid features without paying; interfere with or attempt to disrupt the Service; or use the Service unlawfully. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.
The map shows recorded and researched gold occurrences compiled from public sources. It is a research aid, not permission to dig. You are responsible for prospecting lawfully and safely:
We are not responsible for trespass, damage, injury or losses arising from how you use the information in the Service.
Gold occurs where the geology, the stretch of water and your technique all line up. Our pins are researched leads, not guarantees. We make no promise that you will find gold at any location, and finding gold is never guaranteed.
Content in the Service (including guides and articles) is for general information only and is not legal, financial or professional advice. Verify permissions and legal requirements for your specific site before prospecting.
The Service, its design, tools, written content and the compiled map dataset are owned by us or our licensors. Underlying data is drawn from public sources including the British Geological Survey and Ordnance Survey. You may use the Service for your own prospecting, but you may not republish or redistribute our content or dataset.
The Service relies on third parties including Stripe (payments), Firebase/Google (accounts and hosting), and mapping and data providers. Their availability is outside our control, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.
The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your use of the information provided. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the current version. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
